On August 15th-17th I was invited to join the Mark Hill hairdressing team at V festival, Hylands park. Our gorgeous little tent was situated in the VM Louder Lounge Spa, offering Luxury treatments exclusive to invite only guests and VIPs. Next to our pop-up salon, guests could also enjoy having their eyelashes and nails done with the Eyelure and Elegant touch nail teams all free of charge.
We were given the task of making festival goers hair look fabulous (and clean haha) using Mark Hill’s product range. As a dry styling bar, our main aim was to promote his dry shampoo 'Mark Hill Get Gorgeous! Quick Fix Dry Shampoo' which of course turned out to be the most popular product! Whoever entered our tent was given a hair menu with the top 5 festival styles of 2014 to choose from, each based on a celebrity performing at the festival.
The most popular style was ‘Foxes Waterfall Braid’ which is a simple braid which flows around the head, giving the appearance of a head band (see pictures below). This style was favoured by many celebs which entered our tent, including Made in Chelsea's Louise Thompson. So many ladies around the VM Louder Lounge ended up with the same hairstyle it was pretty hilarious, but us poor stylists ended up with major hand cramp (hehe)! I hope to do a tutorial video soon showing you how to create this simple style at home: you can either curls the ends of your hair or leave it straight, it looks beautiful either way!
V Festival was the most amazing experience, I got to meet so many lovely people and I can't complain about the freebies! I wish I could have shown you more pictures with my face in but with the early mornings (waking up at 6.30am!) and going to bed in the early hours, I look far from glamorous haha!
